Favorites to win NFL Comeback Player of the Year

Kirk Cousins (+180)

Like Rodgers, Kirk Cousins’ 2023 campaign was cut short by an Achilles tear, ending a six-year run in Minnesota that saw the veteran quarterback finish with a 101.2 passer rating as the Vikings pivot.

Signing a lucrative four-year deal with the Atlanta Falcons over the offseason to fill the void at quarterback, Cousins has led the Dirty Birds to a 4-2 start, which included passing for 509 yards and four touchdowns in a thrilling Week 5 win against Tampa Bay.

Aaron Rodgers (+350 to +450)

When Aaron Rodgers was shipped to the New York Jets in April 2023, the future Hall-of-Game quarterback was poised to address the long-standing void at quarterback in Gotham City.

Unfortunately for Jets fans…disaster struck early in Week 1 when Rodgers went down with what ended up being a season-ending left Achilles tear. The four-time MVP returned to the gridiron in 2024 fully healthy, and the Jets made sure to address the offensive line in the first round of the draft to protect the 40-year-old.

Rodgers and the New York offense have been somewhat stagnant so far, and the veteran quarterback has thrown four interceptions in his last two games — both of which resulted in disappointing losses for the now 2-4 Jets.

J.K. Dobbins (+350 to +450)

Having had his season cut short due to injury in both 2021 and 2023, J.K. Dobbins signed a one-year “prove it” deal with the Los Angeles Chargers in the offseason.

The former Ohio State standout has since capitalized on the opportunity, thriving in Jim Harbaugh’s run-heavy offense — entering Week 7 ranked sixth in rushing yards (438). Dobbins is coming off a strong performance in L.A’s latest win against Denver, racking up 102 total yards.
