Lazio have announced that veterans Cristian Brocchi and Giuseppe Biava have extended their contracts with the club.

Both players were out of contract at the end of the season but they have now penned one-year extensions which will keep them at the Stadio Olimpico until the end of the 2012/13 campaign.

Midfielder Brocchi, 36, joined Lazio from Milan in 2008, while the 34-year-old Biava arrived from Genoa two years ago.

Lazio are in third place in Serie A, the final qualifying place for next season s Champions League, one point ahead of Napoli and Udinese.
